This webpage has been created in preparation for the launch of Nuospace.com. With this website we hope to begin sharing our vision with the world and allow all those interested to try our product in advance of the official launch.

The problem

How did you share your last document with your colleagues? For many, email remains the only truly viable answer. Despite the large number of different enterprise portal solutions on the market today, office workers are still sending their documents via email when they need to share them with colleagues. Organizations continue to use email to publish their announcements, newsletters, guidelines, or policies.

Existing enterprise portal solutions and document management software are too expensive, too difficult to implement, and even more difficult to maintain over time. Email thus remains an easy alternative.

The Nuospace solution

Wiki technology has changed this by offering a simple alternative solution for companies to share their content. At Nuospace, we believe that wiki is the enterprise portal solution of the Web 2.0 era. This idea is presented at greater detail here.

Nuospace.com is an enterprise wiki that has been specifically developed for corporate users to become a single location for company documents and content. Nuospace provides strong document management capabilities. We have also introduced page templates to support typical enterprise portal use for content beyond plain wiki pages - such as documents, directories, forums, blogs and newsletters.

Nuospace offers a simple solution to the creation of enterprise portals. Portals are provided on demand. All that is required is that you sign up. No need to purchase a license or any new hardware. No need to contact an administrator. Our hosted solution offers much higher standards of security and reliability than many internal systems – especially for smaller organizations. As we realize that bigger organizations may prefer to run Nuospace on their intranets, we also plan to offer a standalone version that transfers an existing hosted account to intranet automatically.

Plans

The Nuospace project has been active since June 2007 with the support of angel funding.  An ‘on demand’ version of Nuospace will be launched on 15 November 2007.  A standalone version for intranet usage will be available in early 2008.
